Senior Java Full Stack Software Engineer
About The Position
Matrix Systems and Technology, Inc. (MSTi) is hiring a Senior Java Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain Java full-stack applications and APIs. The role involves developing web interfaces and backend services, integrating application components, working with MongoDB and relational databases including Amazon Aurora/RDS, and supporting application deployment and troubleshooting in AWS environments. The engineer will also review code, guide technical decisions, mentor other engineers, and collaborate with requirements, testing, and delivery teams to resolve issues. MSTi provides IT and engineering services to federal, state, local government, and commercial clients. Its work includes software testing and quality assurance, project management, requirements analysis, implementation support, and IT staff augmentation. The company is based in the Washington, DC metro area and has provided services since 1996.
Requirements
- Eight or more years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Hands-on Java full-stack development experience, including front-end web technologies and backend services.
- Exposure to AWS, MongoDB, and Amazon Aurora/RDS.
- Experience with API integration, database access, and application troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate technical decisions and collaborate with a delivery team.
