About The Position

Accenture Federal Services is hiring a Senior Java Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native, containerized applications using Java and modern cloud technologies. The role works with cloud-native and cloud-agnostic services to build scalable, high-performance solutions for US federal government missions. The engineer will collaborate with DevOps teams and cross-functional partners to deliver reliable, secure software and improve its quality and maintainability.

Requirements

Strong experience with cloud-native development and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Proficiency building microservices and RESTful APIs using Java frameworks, including Spring Boot.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Active Secret clearance required.
US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications using Java and cloud technologies.
Implement microservices architectures and develop RESTful APIs.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployments and support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments.
Implement security best practices to protect applications and data.
Troubleshoot and resolve application performance, reliability, and security issues.
Work with architects, product managers, and developers to deliver software solutions.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
