About The Position

Triunity Software is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join its team in Calgary, Alberta. The role involves building and maintaining scalable Java applications and microservices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to software products. The developer will participate in Agile/Scrum practices, integrate APIs and third-party services, and support the performance, reliability, and security of applications throughout their lifecycle. The position also includes code review, mentoring junior developers, and troubleshooting production issues.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience in Java development.
Strong proficiency with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or Hibernate.
Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to uphold engineering best practices.
Optimize application performance, reliability, and security across the full software lifecycle.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services into existing platforms.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
