About The Position

Provides technical support for all City departments not limited to implementation, configuration, upgrade, monitoring, troubleshooting, and administration of server technology software and hardware infrastructure. Performs complex business analyses and project management work facilitating and ensuring efficient systems integration efforts across all City systems. Work is performed under direction with considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Position seeks technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field.
• Five or more years’ progressively responsible experience in developing, integrating, implementing, analyzing, and maintaining information technologies and applications, preferably in a governmental or similar institutional environment.
• Must have a valid Florida driver’s license with satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
• Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
• Applicants are required to sign an affidavit for non-use of tobacco products in order to be considered for employment.
• To obtain veteran's preference, applicants MUST submit a copy of separation papers (DD214), Veterans’ Preference Certification form and meet eligibility requirements as stipulated by the Florida Statutes.
• DOCUMENTATION MUST BE PROVIDED AT TIME OF APPLICATION, DEMONSTRATING APPLICANT MEETS POSITION REQUIREMENTS.

Nice To Haves

• Professional industry certification(s) preferred: VMWare, MCSE, SQL, Cisco, ITIL or other professional IT Certifications.
