About The Position

This role involves independently managing multiple large and complex projects that require significant functional integration and procedural change management. The Senior IT Project Manager will lead large cross-functional project teams, consisting of both business and technical members, and will play a consultative role in establishing effective project management practices, including the appropriate people, processes, and tools. The position requires overseeing projects with complex business and technical challenges, addressing escalated issues with both technical depth and business acumen, and coordinating the sharing of leveraged resources among projects. Additionally, the role involves defining, implementing, and consulting on project management standards and processes for relevant teams or projects. Experience working with public sector clients is essential, and PMP or CSM certification is required.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree and 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of IT project management experience, ideally in the public sector or with government clients.
• Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile certifications preferred).
• Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Trello for project tracking and reporting.
• PMP or CSM certification.
