About The Position

The Senior IT Project Manager will support a New York State government agency on a 30-month engagement in Albany, New York. The position involves monitoring analysis, design, and development tasks; helping develop detailed work plans; creating and executing project management plans; facilitating meetings and work sessions; coordinating risk and issue resolution; and communicating project information and status to multiple stakeholders. The role uses Azure DevOps for work task tracking, as well as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. The position is onsite from day one.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience monitoring tasks for analysis, design, and development activities and assisting in developing a detailed work plan.
• 7 years of experience creating and executing project management plans, including communication and risk/issue management plans.
• 7 years of experience facilitating meetings and work sessions.
• 7 years of experience coordinating risk and issue resolution.
• 3 years of experience using Azure DevOps for work task tracking.
• 3 years of experience using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
• 5 years of experience communicating project information and status to multiple stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
