About The Position

This position serves as a central coordination and communication hub across multiple technical and functional teams—partnering closely with ServiceNow Platform Team, Application Development, System Operations, Network Operations, IT Security, Architecture, Enterprise Intelligence, and business stakeholders. The Senior IT Project Manager ensures ServiceNow initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with platform strategy, governance standards, and organizational priorities. Expert communication skills are paramount in this role, as the position is responsible for translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for diverse audiences while maintaining alignment across all levels of the organization. Success in this role is measured by the ability to proactively identify integration, data, and process dependencies; remove delivery obstacles; and balance platform sustainment with new feature development and transformation initiatives. The Senior IT Project Manager drives accountability through clear expectations, consistent messaging, and frequent, transparent communication, ensuring risks, dependencies, decisions, and impacts are well understood by both technical teams and business partners. This role requires a high degree of communication maturity to manage competing priorities, resolve conflicts, and guide stakeholders through change. Through strong leadership, organization, and exceptional communication and facilitation skills, the Senior IT Project Manager acts as a trusted advisor and partner to ServiceNow and IT leadership. By fostering alignment, trust, and shared understanding across cross‑functional teams, the role helps maximize platform value, improve user experience and service efficiency, and advance the overall maturity, scalability, and governance of the ServiceNow ecosystem across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in software development, infrastructure, or digital transformation.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or similar).
  • Familiarity with IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for project reporting and presentations.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote and in-office responsibilities as needed.
  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, and third-party service providers for IT projects.
  • Must be able to work both remotely and on-site as required, with a flexible schedule that includes in-office presence based on business needs

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist (SA) for Agile environments preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Viewpoint Vista preferred
  • Experience in the construction industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with business goals.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures.
  • Manage project execution, ensuring timely completion within scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and executive stakeholders to define project requirements.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and steering committee meetings, providing clear and concise project updates.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns proactively.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues to minimize impact on timelines and budgets.
  • Develop contingency plans and escalate critical issues when necessary.
  • Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and efficient resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to allocate resources effectively.
  • Work with external vendors, consultants, and service providers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and vendor performance.
  • Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) based on project needs.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning) when managing Agile projects.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Conduct testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination.
  • Maintain project documentation, lessons learned, and post-implementation reviews for future improvements.
  • Drive process optimization and best practices for IT project management.
