About The Position

As part of Drata’s Information Technology team, the Senior IT Operations team member will help lead the day-to-day support, systems administration, and operational improvements that enable employees to do their best work. This role combines hands-on technical support with ownership of core SaaS tools, device management, process improvement, and automation, while helping ensure our internal environment remains secure, compliant, and ready to scale. You’ll be a trusted partner across the business and a steady point of escalation for more complex IT needs. We are hiring for this role on the East Coast only. We need someone who can start their day between 7-8am Eastern time for additional coverage for our EMEA teams.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years in an IT Operations or similar role
  • Deep technical knowledge of macOS. We're a heavy Mac shop!
  • Hands-on experience with IAM and SSO/SAML solutions (Okta, Ping, or similar)
  • Experience managing and administering SaaS platforms (Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, or similar)
  • Experience with MDM platforms such as JAMF, Kandji, or Fleet
  • Experience with Jira Service Management (JSM) or a similar IT ticketing platform
  • Solid networking fundamentals - DNS, firewalls, and RFCs shouldn't be foreign territory
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • A genuine curiosity and drive to keep learning
  • A collaborative, empathetic communication style - you'll often be the calm in someone else's storm
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing tasks & priorities with ease

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding process, continuously raising the bar on the employee experience from day one through departure
  • Provide technical support and assistance via phone, email, slack, or remote desktop
  • Act as an escalation point for complex support issues
  • Collaborate with the broader IT team to ensure tickets are resolved accurately and on time
  • Collaborate closely with IT Engineering to escalate issues, surface feedback, and improve the reliability and supportability of shared systems and tools
  • Participate in the administration of core SaaS platforms (Okta, Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, Atlassian, and more)
  • Own hardware lifecycle management across Apple devices, covering procurement, provisioning, patching, and deprecation
  • Maintain accurate hardware asset inventory, including monitoring stock levels and coordinating orders
  • Identify and drive process improvements across IT operations, documenting workflows, building runbooks, and automating repetitive tasks wherever possible
  • Contribute to the IT knowledge base, writing solution articles, documenting processes, and keeping documentation current
  • Stay current on emerging technology and bring ideas for how we can do things better
