About The Position

Next Perimeter is hiring a hands-on Senior IT Engineer to lead client projects and serve as the final technical escalation point for the help desk. The engineer will deliver projects from signed scope through handoff, including network builds and wireless redesigns, Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, office and data center moves, new-client onboarding, and client offboarding. The role includes reviewing project scope before work begins, leading technical delivery, and serving as the client's primary engineering contact during active projects. Protected blocks of focused engineering time are provided for complex builds. The engineer will handle the most complex escalations beyond the Tier III team lead, diagnose root causes, resolve issues, and convert solutions into standards or automation to prevent recurrence. They will help maintain client environments in accordance with The IT & Security Blueprint, flag and remediate deviations, and feed implementation learnings back into configuration templates. The role also includes mentoring technicians in cloud identity, endpoint management, and networking. The position is in-office Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. After successfully completing the 90-day introductory period, the employee may select one recurring work-from-home day. The company describes its environment as mature, process-oriented, and focused on operational excellence rather than heroics, with direct work alongside leadership as its security and compliance services grow.
