Senior IT Administrator

HoverSan Francisco, CA
$129,000 - $160,000Hybrid

About The Position

Hover helps people design, improve, and protect the properties they love. With proprietary AI built on over a decade of real property data, Hover answers age-old questions like “What will it look like?” and “What will it cost?” Homeowners, contractors, and insurance professionals rely on Hover to get fully measured, accurate, and interactive 3D models of any property — all from a smartphone scan in minutes. At Hover, we’re driven by curiosity, purpose, and a shared commitment to serving our customers, communities, and each other. We believe the best ideas come from diverse perspectives and are proud to cultivate an inclusive, high-performance culture that inspires growth, accountability, and excellence. Backed by leading investors like Google Ventures and Menlo Ventures, and trusted by industry leaders including Travelers, State Farm, and Nationwide — we’re redefining how people understand and interact with their spaces. Why Hover wants you: Most IT roles ask you to keep the lights on. This one asks you to rebuild what the lights run on. At Hover, the Senior IT Administrator is part operator, part engineer — someone who can handle the in-person demands of a busy office while carving out meaningful time to build the internal tools, automations, and integrations that make IT faster and smarter. You'll use AI coding assistants like Claude Code and Cursor to create micro-applications that shrink our SaaS footprint, automate lifecycle workflows, and surface insights from the data our systems already produce. At the same time, you'll own the security operations that our enterprise customers depend on: managing compliance responses, establishing a customer-facing trust center, and bringing SOC 2 rigor to how we operate. You’ll manage Cisco Meraki network configurations in support of both day-to-day office network needs and future office moves.

  • Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot) to build internal tooling, automate workflows, or develop integrations — or a strong scripting/automation background with clear trajectory toward AI-assisted development

  • Familiarity with Cisco networking fundamentals, Google Workspace administration, Jira, and Slack in an enterprise environment

  • Background at pre-IPO tech companies with in-house IT departments managing a SaaS software stack

  • Experience with Zero Trust network architecture, endpoint security strategy, or Identity Governance Automation
  • Prior exposure to office build-outs or IT infrastructure coordination for a physical office move

  • Build sensors and alerting mechanisms to detect SaaS system health interruptions and support rapid IT remediation
  • Share ownership of day-to-day IT operations and helpdesk support for our San Francisco and New York offices and remote employees, including hardware troubleshooting, AV and network performance, and access management
  • Support new hire onboarding and departing employee offboarding in partnership with People Operations and Workplace
