IT Administrator

MSPbots
Remote

About The Position

We're looking for an IT Administrator who doesn't just manage infrastructure—they reimagine it. As a core member of our internal IT team, you'll architect and optimize the systems that keep MSPbots running at peak performance while actively using AI tools to eliminate toil, accelerate troubleshooting, and continuously improve how we operate. This is a role for someone who is genuinely AI-native: you reach for AI tools instinctively, you know how to prompt and apply them effectively, and you're always asking, "How can AI make this better?" You'll have real autonomy to experiment, implement, and lead—not just maintain. If you're the kind of person who automates tasks before they become recurring problems, documents processes before anyone asks, and gets excited when a new AI tool drops—this role was built for you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field—or equivalent experience with a strong portfolio of hands-on work.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT administration, with demonstrated ownership of cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and on-premises environments.
  • AI-native mindset—you actively use AI tools in your work today. You're comfortable prompting, evaluating, and iterating with AI to solve real problems, not just experimenting occasionally.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing automation solutions using RMM platforms, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash), and workflow orchestration tools.
  • Strong command of security fundamentals—identity and access management, endpoint protection, Zero Trust principles, and relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, observability, and analytics tools. You measure what matters and use data to guide decisions.
  • Clear, confident communicator—equally comfortable writing a technical runbook and presenting a process improvement proposal to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across distributed, cross-cultural, and cross-timezone teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience working in or supporting a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment—you understand the operational rhythms and tooling (ConnectWise, Autotask, Datto, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with AIOps platforms or AI-assisted ITSM tools (e.g., Aisera, Moveworks, or similar).
  • Experience building or maintaining internal AI assistants, bots, or LLM-integrated workflows.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation).
  • Relevant certifications: Microsoft (AZ-104, SC-300), AWS, CompTIA (Security+, Network+), or CISSP.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and continuously optimize cloud and on-premises environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) with a strong focus on uptime, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Own the full stack—from endpoint management to network configuration to cloud resource governance.
  • Operate as a true AI-native practitioner. Actively use AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and AIOps platforms) in your daily workflow to accelerate root cause analysis, generate runbooks, draft communications, and surface patterns in system data.
  • Continuously identify where AI can reduce manual effort and improve IT outcomes—then implement it.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated workflows that eliminate repetitive tasks across IT operations—including provisioning, patch management, alerting, onboarding/offboarding, and reporting.
  • Use scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) and orchestration platforms (e.g., n8n, Power Automate, or similar) to keep manual intervention to a minimum.
  • Build and enforce robust access control policies, identity management frameworks (SSO, MFA, Zero Trust), and compliance standards.
  • Use data-driven monitoring and AI-assisted anomaly detection to stay ahead of threats rather than react to them.
  • Instrument your environment with dashboards and metrics that give real visibility into system health, SLAs, ticket trends, and operational performance.
  • Translate data into decisions—and use AI tools to surface insights faster.
  • Work closely with DevOps, engineering, product, and business operations teams to ensure IT infrastructure supports—and accelerates—the company's goals.
  • Communicate clearly, document thoroughly, and be a trusted partner across the organization.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on emerging tools, platforms, and AI/ML capabilities in IT operations.
  • Regularly evaluate and propose improvements to existing processes, tools, and systems.
  • Bring new ideas to the table and have the initiative to see them through.
  • Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for all systems, processes, and runbooks.
  • Train team members on new tools and workflows, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Benefits

  • HMO Reimbursement — $100/month
  • Life Insurance Allowance—$20/month
  • Dental & Vision Reimbursement — Dental ($20/month) + Vision ($4/month)
  • 15 PTO credits per year (convertible to cash if unused)
  • Training & Learning Reimbursement—up to $30/month (certifications, courses, conferences)
  • US Holiday Pay—paid time off on all US federal holidays
  • 100% remote work — work from anywhere in the Philippines
  • Real growth opportunities in a fast-moving, AI-first company
  • Work alongside a team that genuinely believes AI changes everything—and acts like it
