About The Position

The Senior Inventory Control Assistant oversees perpetual inventory in assigned warehouses and/or Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) locations. The role maintains the system stock master and PAR levels, manages daily cycle-count activity, and helps ensure caregivers have the supplies and equipment needed to provide patient care. The position supports inventory accuracy, patient safety, waste reduction, and efficient healthcare operations while collaborating with clinical and operational teams.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience.
At least two years of experience in purchasing and/or experience in a similar setting.
General knowledge of formularies and contracts.

Responsibilities

Oversee perpetual inventory in assigned warehouses and/or PAR locations.
Maintain the system stock master and PAR levels and manage daily cycle-count activity.
Oversee product recalls in assigned warehouses and provide timely information about recalled items to purchasing.
Achieve assigned inventory turnover rates and customer fill rates of 99 percent.
Work with clinical leaders, physicians, and department staff to ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available for procedures.
Work with purchasing agents to resolve backorder problems and inform end users of delays in product availability.
Assist with coordinating new product trials involving physicians, clinical staff, and vendor representatives.
Assist with product conversions and standardization initiatives in assigned warehouse locations.
Assist with end-of-fiscal-year audits conducted by an outside auditing firm and manage other year-end duties for successful inventory closeout in assigned warehouses.
Review requests to add items to assigned locations and inform customers whether requests are accepted or denied.
