About The Position

This position with Amentum supports the United States Central Command J2 Directorate through intelligence planning. The role’s plans and assessments inform senior leaders’ decision-making, including the CENTCOM Commander, and contribute to strategic decisions across the Intelligence Community. The employee assists Intelligence Plans Division leadership and staff with planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, and executing intelligence planning activities. These activities support Intelligence Campaign Plan efforts, interagency information sharing, and Joint Chiefs of Staff and Combatant Command exercises. The contractor plans and coordinates Intelligence Campaign Plan production and implementation across the J2 Directorate, other directorates, components, the Intelligence Community, and coalition and partner nation representatives. The role identifies strategic and operational requirements for Combatant Command military operations, assesses existing and future capabilities, identifies gaps, and develops courses of action and mitigation strategies. It also conducts broad-scope studies of intelligence planning programs to evaluate current program effectiveness, future program feasibility, and planning efforts, and advises on implementation of new ideas. The work environment is an office, with an 8-hour shift. A TS/SCI clearance with Poly is required.

Requirements

Master’s degree and 10 years of intelligence and/or service planning experience at echelons of command above Battalion/Squadron, or be a credentialed subject matter expert or recognized specialist in a relevant field; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree and 12 years of such experience, or equivalent stated SME/specialist status.
Comprehensive knowledge of the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility and organization.
TS/SCI security clearance with Poly.
Minimum education listed: bachelor’s degree.
Minimum years of experience listed: 10.

Nice To Haves

Joint/Service Intermediate Level School, such as JPME-I, CGSC, SAMS, SAAS, SAWS, MAWS, or JAWS.
JIP Level I / Tier I certification, or proof of working understanding of multiple intelligence disciplines and awareness of CSA capabilities.
AI, if applicable to the program.

Responsibilities

Assist Intelligence Plans Division leadership and staff with planning, organizing, developing, coordinating, and executing intelligence planning activities.
Support objectives and evaluations of Intelligence Campaign Plan efforts, interagency information-sharing efforts, and Joint Chiefs of Staff and Combatant Command exercises.
Plan and coordinate Intelligence Campaign Plan production and implementation for the J2 Directorate, other directorates, components, the Intelligence Community, and coalition and partner nation representatives.
Identify strategic and operational requirements for Combatant Command military operations, including collection capabilities, structure, manpower, communication, and logistics.
Assess existing and future capabilities against operational requirements, identify shortfalls and gaps, and develop courses of action and mitigation strategies.
Conduct broad-scope studies of intelligence planning programs to evaluate current effectiveness, future feasibility, and planning efforts.
Plan and advise on the implementation of new ideas.
Complete applicable safety training and responsibilities, participate in emergency response tasks as appropriate, and serve on safety committees and teams as appropriate.
Comply with Amentum’s Quality Policy, applicable quality system documents and customer contracts, and assigned quality management and customer satisfaction responsibilities.
Read, understand, and implement applicable operational, safety, quality, and environmental plans, procedures, and policies.
