About The Position

The Senior Integration Architect leads the architecture of shared technology capabilities, including cloud and platform services, integration, identity, and data. The role establishes enterprise-wide principles, standards, and reference architectures; owns the enterprise technology roadmap and lifecycle; and is accountable for the coherence, cost, and risk posture of the technology portfolio over time. It influences organizational direction and technology investment decisions made by leadership. The architect develops and maintains enterprise and integration architecture, defines how systems connect and exchange data, and shapes security, identity, and resilience in partnership with Enterprise Security. The role sets architecture and integration standards, advises leadership on technology strategy, evaluates emerging capabilities, and builds alignment across teams, functions, and vendors. It also mentors technical associates and raises the standard of architecture practice.

  • Demonstrated experience producing architecture spanning multiple solutions and technology domains, including target-state definition and reference architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating across SAP landscapes, including SAP integration tooling and interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Depth in enterprise integration patterns, including API-led, event-driven, and batch, and in the contracts and versioning that govern them.
  • Experience owning enterprise integration and API management platforms, including selection and lifecycle.
  • Proven design judgment concerning integration failure behavior, including retries, idempotency, and recovery from partial failure.
  • Experience owning enterprise-scale technology lifecycle decisions, including portfolio consolidation, replacement, and retirement.
  • Breadth across cloud and platform services, integration and API strategy, identity, and data architecture, with depth in at least one area.
  • Experience evaluating and introducing new technology capabilities, including proving them and defining adoption conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction without positional authority across teams, functions, and vendors.
  • Experience building technology investment business cases, including cost, risk, and sequencing analysis presented to senior leadership.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a computer, telephone, copier, and printer.

  • Produce integration architecture and own integration platforms, defining how systems connect and exchange data across the organization.
  • Shape enterprise security, identity, and resilience posture in partnership with Enterprise Security.
  • Own the technical planning approach for enterprise initiatives and ensure appropriate technical expertise is engaged where domains and solutions intersect.
  • Build reference implementations and proofs of concept to validate enterprise patterns before broad adoption.
  • Maintain a stable, viable enterprise target architecture and ensure it is consistently applied as platforms, solutions, and vendors change.
  • Decide on exceptions to enterprise architecture direction and remove structural obstacles that constrain multiple solutions or domains.
  • Set enterprise architecture principles, standards, and practices aligned with business direction.
  • Define enterprise positions on make-versus-buy decisions, platform and vendor selection, and vendor concentration.
  • Set architecture methods, tools, and documentation standards and embed them into technology planning and delivery.
  • Set enterprise integration patterns and interface standards and define contracts governing system data exchange.
  • Translate business direction into technology capabilities and own the enterprise technology roadmap and lifecycle, determining what is invested in, sustained, consolidated, or retired.
  • Set the enterprise position on emerging technologies, including AI and automation, proving capabilities where warranted and defining adoption conditions.
  • Capture and prioritize market, technology, and business trends; identify alternatives; and recommend technology investment priorities and sequencing for leadership.
  • Own enterprise technology cost structure, technical debt, and vendor concentration as tracked outcomes, and build the case for investment to address them.
