The Senior Insurance Analyst will execute corporate policy for insurance and risk retention programs, represent corporate interests, administer corporate risk related to loss of assets or claims, and provide risk management consulting expertise to decrease insurance and risk management expenses. This role involves interfacing with corporate personnel, insurance brokers, and insurer staff regarding insurance programs. This is a multiple-location posting, with the selected candidate potentially based out of corporate office locations in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, PA, Kennett Square, PA, Baltimore, MD, Owings Mills, MD, Chicago, IL, Oakbrook Terrace, IL, Newark, DE, or Carneys Point, NJ.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in risk management & insurance, accounting, finance, engineering or related degree.
  • Completion of insurance related professional designation: Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) preferred (unless applicant possesses a risk management & insurance undergraduate degree).
  • 5 or more years experience in insurance or risk management desired.
  • Demonstrated analytical and evaluation skills.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and insurance markets
  • Ability to analyze insurance decisions and their impact on Exelon and its subsidiaries

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of the corporate insurance program and the management of risks through the administration of third party and self-insured programs.
  • Identify and evaluate corporate risk exposures and make recommendations to Insurance Department Leadership for addressing these exposures.
  • Coordinate specific corporate insurance programs and represent corporate interests with brokers and insurers.
  • Support the negotiation of specific insurance coverages, review insurance contracts, administer insurance policies, and ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Perform analytical and administrative tasks necessary to support the management of specific lines of insurance coverage.
  • Assist the Insurance Department Leadership to efficiently insure Exelon's transmission and distribution assets through best practice risk management techniques.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with insurance brokers and insurers.
  • Act as liaison between various internal and external parties.
  • Serve as consultant to internal organizations on risk management issues.
  • Support the administration of the corporate insurance program, review insurance policies and coordinate the payment of invoices and broker services.

  • Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $80,000.00/Yr. – $110,000.00/Yr.
