About The Position

As a Senior Insight Analyst on the Strategy, Research & Insights team at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you’ll play a critical role in designing and delivering research that informs high-impact business decisions across our ecosystem.  This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for someone who thrives on turning complex questions into clear, actionable insight. You’ll take ownership of research from end to end - designing and executing both qualitative and quantitative research, synthesizing behavioral and attitudinal data, and converting findings into strategic recommendations that influence product, brand, marketing, and commercial decisions. Whether you’re exploring new player growth opportunities, refining brand positioning, or shaping lifecycle strategy through segmentation, your work will directly impact how Fanatics understands and serves its customers. We’re looking for someone who combines methodological rigor, commercial thinking, and the ability to make research resonate with the business.

Requirements

  • 3 plus years experience in research, customer strategy, product marketing, or player engagement roles, ideally in iGaming, digital entertainment, or consumer tech.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver impactful research using a range of qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills - able to make complex insights simple, relevant, and actionable for business audiences.
  • Deep understanding of customer segmentation, user journeys, and player lifecycle strategies.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to align research outcomes with business goals.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, data-rich environment.
  • Comfort with analytics and behavioral data; SQL or data visualization skills are a plus but not required.
  • Have an appetite for learning about the gambling industry and/or existing knowledge of the gambling industry

  • Familiarity with AI-powered research tools and emerging applications of generative AI in insight development, segmentation, and customer understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end qualitative and quantitative research initiatives supporting ecosystem strategy across loyalty, the Fanatics app, sportsbook, and casino - influencing product, brand, marketing, and commercial decisions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of sports fandom - motivations, emotional drivers, behaviors, and engagement patterns - and translate that understanding into strategic recommendations.
  • Leverage behavioral, attitudinal, and demographic data to inform segmentation, journey strategy, retention, and ecosystem growth.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen cross-product engagement and deepen ecosystem connectivity.
  • Partner cross-functionally with analytics, marketing, product, and commercial teams to integrate multiple data sources into cohesive, actionable insight narratives.
  • Design and evaluate experiments related to product features, loyalty programs, messaging, and customer experiences.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving customer expectations within sports betting, casino, and digital sports engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships; ensure insights are implemented and drive measurable business action.
  • Guide project scoping, prioritization, and supplier engagement as needed.
  • Must be open to occasional travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team building activities
