About The Position

This initiative is focused on building a Secure Development Environment (SDE) designed to support classified engineering and development programs. The team will be responsible for standing up secure infrastructure from the ground up including compute platforms, VMware virtualization, enterprise storage systems, networking infrastructure, identity services, encryption technologies, monitoring platforms, backup capabilities, and disaster recovery platforms. This engineer will help build the virtualization and compute foundation supporting the Secure Development Environment and will assist with bringing a brand-new secure engineering platform online across multiple locations. This is a true greenfield infrastructure deployment. We are looking for engineers who have experience standing up environments from scratch and understand what it takes to bring brand-new infrastructure online. This is not a steady-state operations role.

Responsibilities

• Lead VMware Cloud Foundation deployments
• Design and deploy ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and NSX environments
• Build and configure secure infrastructure racks
• Support greenfield infrastructure standups
• Implement STIG-compliant configurations
• Support RMF and ATO activities
• Produce technical documentation and configuration baselines
• Provide technical leadership throughout deployment activities
