About The Position

Trident Consulting is seeking a Senior Infra Architect for a client described as a global leader in business and technology services. This contract role involves architecting and implementing Azure and Azure Databricks solutions for global enterprise clients. The position partners with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable analytics platforms intended to improve decision-making, operational efficiency, and business outcomes. The posting describes a hybrid work model during day shifts, while also listing the location as remote. The role includes designing and implementing Databricks Delta Sharing, deploying Databricks workspaces, onboarding applications and supporting their migration, configuring Unity Catalogs, and resolving application teams’ access issues. It also includes designing and optimizing data pipelines and workflows, provisioning and supporting Azure services and resources, troubleshooting Azure infrastructure, and developing PaaS solutions. The stated pay rate is $65 per hour, and the contract is W2 only.

Requirements

Seven to nine years of experience.
Experience writing Spark jobs using PySpark.
Experience integrating with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Experience creating and configuring Azure resources and RBAC.
Working knowledge of Azure networking, Azure Policy, Bash or Python scripting, ARM templates, and Linux.
Working knowledge of Azure high-availability and disaster-recovery patterns.

Responsibilities

Design and implement the Databricks Delta Sharing model across the organization and its affiliates.
Deploy Databricks workspaces.
Onboard applications to Databricks and help application teams migrate.
Build and configure Unity Catalogs.
Troubleshoot and resolve application teams’ access issues to Databricks workspaces.
Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows.
Create and configure Azure resources and role-based access control (RBAC).
Provision, secure, and support teams building applications around Azure services, including Azure QnA, Azure Cognitive Search, Azure Text Analytics, Azure Translator, Azure Speech Services, and LUIS.
Design and deploy other Azure services.
Resolve Azure resource issues and troubleshoot Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
Apply Azure high-availability and disaster-recovery patterns for these services.
Design and develop platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solutions using Azure services.
