About The Position

WinTec Arrowmaker, Inc., a defense contractor providing program management, engineering, logistics, and operational support to Department of Defense customers, is hiring a Senior Information Technology Engineer. Reporting under the direction of WinTec’s Chief of Enterprise Information Systems, this engineer manages IT and network requirements involving complex systems and security controls. The full-time position is based in Tampa, Florida, and involves approximately 25% travel, including occasional weekend and off-hours support. The role supports enterprise networking, server and endpoint systems, cybersecurity activities, and the integration of networking, communications, and information technologies into prototype and fielded systems. Work takes place in office environments as well as field test, demonstration, and experimentation venues. The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, with eligibility for a Top Secret clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
At least 10 years of relevant work experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise networks, Microsoft Windows, and Linux systems.
Knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, wireless networking, Active Directory, and network architecture.
Working knowledge of IT security principles, vulnerability management, patching, access controls, and system administration.
Knowledge of military radios, SATCOM systems, 802.11 wireless technologies, and mobile ad hoc networking.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, technical documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to provide technical guidance and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to travel approximately 25%, including occasional weekend and off-hours support.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, with eligibility for a Top Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree highly preferred.
Military background or familiarity with military command and control environments.
Experience supporting field testing, experimentation, demonstrations, and/or operational technology deployments.
Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA Security+, or comparable industry certifications.
Familiarity with military, federal, state, and local agency organizational structures.
Ability to adapt to changing technical and program requirements while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Configure, implement, and maintain local area networks using managed network equipment.
Define and administer routed network addressing schemes, VLANs, subnets, and related network configurations.
Support provisioning and deployment of commercial off-the-shelf wired and wireless networking technologies.
Install, configure, and maintain server and endpoint operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Linux.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for network, system, and IT issues.
Develop and maintain documentation of network architecture, layout, configuration, and footprint.
Provide technical guidance and coordination to assigned personnel under the direction of the Chief of Enterprise Information Systems.
Assist with integrating and configuring networking, communications, and information technologies into prototype and fielded systems.
Evaluate commercially available and emerging technologies for potential integration into company and customer solutions.
Support cybersecurity activities, including account administration, vulnerability scanning, patching, system hardening, permissions management, baseline provisioning, and remote administration.
Perform job functions in office environments and at field test, demonstration, and experimentation venues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
