Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree in STEM and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of Linux systems administration experience
  • Networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and/or firewalls such as iptables/firewalld
  • Package management such as yum/dnf, apt and/or repository management
  • Experience with user account management, software installation and or technical customer support
  • U.S. Citizen with current DoD Government issued Secret security clearance day one

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: DoD 8570.01M IAT II certified credentials (Security+, CISM, etc.), or ability to obtain within 6 months of start
  • Systems Engineering Experience: Systems Engineer managing Operational Technology (OT) experience and/or test systems in a production environment
  • OS & Systems Administration: Experience with Windows and Linux (desktop and server), including networking administration and user/permissions management such as AD integration, sudo, SELinux/AppArmor basics
  • Security & Hardening Practices: Experience with backup/recovery procedures, baseline hardening such as CIS benchmarks, STIGs, and vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, OpenSCAP
  • Automation/Configuration Management: Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible), including writing and maintaining playbooks for patch management and routine configuration
  • Troubleshooting & Communication: Troubleshooting skills across Windows/Linux systems, customer service orientation, and oral/written technical communication with independent problem-solving ability

Responsibilities

  • Provide Cybersecurity compliance guidance to engineering for production and procurement of Test Equipment (TE)
  • Support Flight Test capabilities and processes for Raytheon test systems
  • Develop Cybersecurity Compliant TE (Linux, IOS, Windows)
  • Install software packages/updates to enhance operations and testing of production hardware
  • Troubleshoot production and development TE to ensure connectivity, functionality, compliance, and test integrity
  • Collaborate with Digital Technologies to integrate TE into controlled networks or enterprises
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity to ensure TE compliance (using tools such as Nessus, Splunk, Ivanti, and locally procured software)
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure changes do not affect the availability or test integrity on the TE
  • Support all reviews required prior for implementation of any changes to the TE
