About The Position

The Senior Informatica MDM & Data Governance Analyst will support the Texas Health and Human Services Commission on the SHARP project. This role is responsible for understanding business objectives and identifying solutions through studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. The Senior Informatica MDM & Data Governance Analyst will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems by conferring with personnel across organizational units. This position supports Data Engineering and Data Governance work, with a focus on Master Data Management, data quality, and enterprise-scale data integration.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience using Informatica tools including Powercenter, IICS, IDMC, MDM, Axon, EDC, IDQ, Customer360, Supplier360, and Entity360.
  • 10 years of experience establishing Master Data and Reference Data for large organizations.
  • 10 years of experience implementing data quality rules using Informatica DQ.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years of experience working with enterprise-scale data sets in Snowflake.
  • 4 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field; equivalent work experience may be substituted. A master's degree or 6 years of experience is preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare or public health.
  • 2 years of experience working at a state agency.
  • 2 years of experience with Python scripting for automation and interaction with APIs.
  • Experience with Informatica MDM is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and document specific input and output requirements across organizational units.
  • Confer with personnel of organizational units to understand business objectives and determine data needs.
  • Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer systems.
  • Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to assess feasibility of requested changes.
  • Support Data Engineering and Data Governance initiatives within the SHARP program.
  • Implement and maintain Master Data and Reference Data frameworks for large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Apply data quality rules and standards using Informatica Data Quality tools.
  • Configure and manage Informatica tools including Powercenter, IICS, IDMC, MDM, Axon, EDC, IDQ, Customer360, Supplier360, and Entity360.
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis of alternative solutions and recommend improvements to existing systems.
  • Identify and document data quality issues and drive resolution through established governance processes.
