About The Position

Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Industrial Manufacturing Engineer in Greensboro, NC. This role involves performing a variety of engineering tasks focused on safety, process, and system improvements, along with maintaining related applications. The engineer will work on both daily and long-term continuous improvement projects, utilizing manufacturing, quality, and Schneider Production System (SPS) tools to address issues. A key responsibility is determining the time required to manufacture a product using appropriate methods. The position also supports new product development projects by estimating costs, developing design concepts, establishing engineering criteria, and creating conceptual process layouts. The engineer will maintain the design intent and integrity of products assembled on the shop floor, support production and manufacturing processes within an entity (e.g., line architecture, manufacturing process design), and act as a specialized expert in areas such as process design, ergonomics, capacity, simulation tools, investment, cost analysis, and performance. With minimal supervision, the role includes leading major full-line transfers and re-designs as a project manager, and significantly contributing to continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.
