Design, integrate, or improve manufacturing systems or related processes. This role involves developing technical expertise regarding products and business processes, establishing and maintaining manufacturing bills of material, and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Work Instructions (WIs) and routings for general parts and specific projects. The engineer will identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or reduce costs by leveraging knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, product design, materials, and parts. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining routings, precedence networks, standard labor hours, and manning models, as well as contributing to factory acceptance documentation. The role requires interfacing with various personnel, including operators, logistics, procurement, quality, engineering, project management, and CNC Programmers, to address issues, develop systems, manage change, and improve processes. The engineer will also troubleshoot product problems, maintain project documentation, and collaborate across all organizational levels.
