About The Position

The Manufacturing Industrial Engineer I is responsible for providing manufacturing cost estimates to Product Management. This Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining bills of material and routings. This Engineer participates on Product Realization Process (PRP) project teams providing support for costing, trial assessment, packaging validation, system set-up, work instructions and problem resolution. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate insurance

Responsibilities

  • Create Manufacturing Cost Estimates (MCRs) for Product Management and Project Teams.
  • Create Manufacturing Assessments (MAs) during product trial.
  • Creates Work Instructions for new parts.
  • Set up JDE ERP system for new items.
  • Create and maintain BOMs and Routings in JDE system.
  • Determine and validate new part packaging.
  • Identification of improvement in equipment, processes, and methods.
  • Ensure proper handoff of new projects and part to manufacturing.
  • Manage changes using the OCN (Operational Change Notice) system.
