About The Position

The Senior Incentives & Program Compliance Specialist is responsible for leading the company’s rebate, incentive, and related energy program submission processes for residential solar and energy storage projects. This role reflects expanded ownership of lease program submissions, compliance requirements, supporting documentation, and cross functional coordination across programs such as Participate Energy. This position serves as a key internal resource for program requirements, submission quality, and process consistency, helping ensure projects move efficiently while maintaining alignment with provider and program standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' experience managing rebates, incentives, program submissions, compliance related processes, or similar coordination work, preferably in solar, battery storage, or a related industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of documentation and submissions accurately.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills with the ability to manage multiple active projects and deadlines at once.
  • Ability to interpret changing requirements and communicate them clearly to internal teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and take ownership of processes that impact multiple departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM or project tracking systems such as HubSpot is preferred.
  • Solar, storage, utility, incentive, financing, or lease program knowledge is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead rebate, incentive, and related energy program processes across active residential solar and energy storage projects.
  • Own submissions, documentation, and compliance requirements for lease and energy program providers, including Participate Energy and similar programs.
  • Review project documentation for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with provider and program requirements before submission.
  • Maintain working knowledge of rebate, incentive, lease program, and provider specific requirements, and communicate updates clearly to internal teams.
  • Coordinate closely with design, permitting, project management, sales, and operations to ensure all required information is collected and submitted correctly.
  • Track submission progress, approval timelines, outstanding items, and compliance related issues, and proactively follow up to keep projects moving.
  • Serve as an internal point of contact for questions related to rebates, incentives, lease program submissions, and program compliance requirements.
  • Identify recurring delays, denials, or process gaps and help improve workflows to increase approval rates, reduce rework, and improve turnaround times.
  • Maintain accurate project records, submission statuses, and supporting documentation in company systems.
  • Support development and refinement of internal processes, documentation, and best practices related to incentives, program submissions, and compliance.
  • Support coordination across adjacent preconstruction functions as needed to help maintain a smooth customer and operational handoff.
