About The Position

The Senior Import Compliance Program Manager is responsible for leading diagnostics-level import compliance programs that reduce tariff exposure, strengthen internal controls and harmonize import practices across Danaher Diagnostics operating companies. This role will own strategic tariff mitigation initiatives, lead technical import escalations related to classification, country of origin and import program harmonization. This position reports to the Director, Trade Compliance and is part of the Danaher Diagnostics Trade Compliance team and will be fully remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, international trade, finance, law, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience) with 10+ years of progressive experience in U.S. import compliance, customs brokerage, trade compliance, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated experience advising on HTS classification, country of origin, import internal controls and customs program requirements in a complex, multi-site or matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects or programs involving tariff mitigation, duty recovery, post-entry actions, internal controls or import process harmonization.
  • Experience developing or maintaining compliance procedures, technical documentation, metrics, KPIs, dashboards or leadership reporting for import compliance programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Diagnostics, medical devices, life sciences, biotechnology or other regulated industry experience.
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) credential and advanced use of ACE, Power BI, or other trade compliance analytics tools.
  • Danaher Business System, lean, continuous improvement or formal project management methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic tariff mitigation programs across diagnostic operating companies, including opportunity identification, execution tracking, savings validation and leadership-ready reporting.
  • Serve as a diagnostics-level escalation point for technical import matters, including tariff classification, country of origin analysis, customs valuation, special programs, import documentation and harmonized implementation of import processes.
  • Monitor trade regulatory changes and maintain related procedures, documentation, KPIs and reporting to drive timely updates and visibility to program health, savings, control gaps and escalations.
  • Strengthen import internal controls by validating practices against approved procedures, coordinating self-testing and ensuring corrective actions are tracked to closure.
  • Oversee tariff refund, recovery and post-entry activities while partnering with OpCo trade teams, finance, sourcing, logistics, legal and advisors to drive consistent import compliance execution across the diagnostics platform.
