The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set. Senior Specialist, Import Customs Compliance As a Senior Specialist, Import Customs Compliance at RXO, you will serve as a subject matter expert for import customs regulations and compliance programs. You will support Customs Brokerage operations by monitoring compliance, providing regulatory guidance, conducting training, and identifying opportunities to reduce risk while ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs and Border Protection requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of customs brokerage, customs compliance, or international trade experience
  • Strong knowledge of customs entry procedures and CBP regulations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB)
  • Experience with in-bond administration and ISF compliance
  • Experience conducting compliance audits and regulatory reviews
  • Knowledge of tariff classification and import compliance programs
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for import customs compliance matters across the organization
  • Monitor import entry activities to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations
  • Provide guidance on entry processing, tariff classification, valuation, and admissibility requirements
  • Oversee and support compliance programs related to in-bond movements and Importer Security Filings (ISF)
  • Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and investigations to identify and mitigate regulatory risks
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and standard operating processes
  • Prepare and distribute regulatory updates, compliance bulletins, and customer communications
  • Partner with operations, sales, and customers to address import compliance questions and concerns
  • Deliver internal, cross-functional, and customer-facing training programs on customs compliance topics
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate operational impacts and required actions
  • Support CBP audits, compliance reviews, prior disclosures, and corrective action initiatives
  • Maintain compliance reporting and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
