About The Position

The Senior Human Resources Manager provides leadership and oversight for all human resources and safety functions at American Aluminum Extrusion’s Roscoe, Illinois, and Canton, Ohio, facilities. The role establishes strategic priorities and provides hands-on leadership across talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, employee engagement, and regulatory compliance. The position partners with facility leadership to support business objectives, develop employees, strengthen HR processes, and promote a consistent, productive, and safe work environment across both locations. The position is based primarily at the Roscoe, Illinois facility, with occasional travel to the Canton, Ohio facility as business needs require. The work includes office duties, such as extended periods seated and using a computer, and production-floor work as needed. Production-floor conditions may include dust, fumes, odors, elevated noise levels, and varying temperatures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Seven to ten years of progressive human resources management experience, including strategic planning, employee relations, regulatory compliance, and leadership of HR teams.
Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning and development, recruitment, employee relations, workplace safety, employee engagement, and employee development.
Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, employee coaching, influencing, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop HR department team members.
Ability to serve as a trusted HR resource and strategic advisor to the executive management team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
Experience administering compensation and benefits programs, as well as employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, effective problem-solving and analytical skills, and sound business acumen.

Manufacturing experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills; conversational or fluent Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement recruitment strategies and oversee onboarding, orientation, and training programs to attract and retain a qualified and diverse workforce.
Monitor employee satisfaction, conduct surveys and feedback sessions, address complex employee relations matters, and implement recognition and engagement initiatives.
Develop, implement, and administer HR policies and practices, ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
Oversee HR activities related to employment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, safety management, OSHA compliance, and training and development.
Oversee performance management and evaluation processes, coach managers, and support succession planning and workforce development.
Oversee payroll and health and welfare benefit programs, align compensation practices with organizational objectives, and coordinate commercial insurance programs and vendor relationships.
Analyze HR data, evaluate HR program effectiveness, identify workforce trends, and support strategic workforce planning.
Lead and develop HR team members, delegate responsibilities, and promote operational efficiency, accountability, and professional growth.
Partner with facility leadership and advise the executive management team to support business objectives and company leadership.
