About The Position

The Senior Human Resources Advisor is responsible for providing advanced, specialized and administrative support to HR Services, HR Services clients and internal business partners. This role acts as a strategic partner helping to deliver best-in-class HR support, including but not limited to, account and project management, HR compliance, talent acquisition and retention, and training and development. The position assists the Manager, HR Services on the formulation and administration of plans and policies for human resources activities and can act as their designee upon request. The Senior HR Advisor also serves as a client consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resources issues, ensuring client policies and procedures are compliant with relevant legislation. They prepare and maintain special HR Services and client communications, tools, and templates, and advise on routine and non-routine questions regarding policy interpretation. The role assists in developing, coordinating, and recommending workflow process improvements, and develops methods for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects. Periodic audits of human resources activities are conducted to ensure compliance. The position requires research on changing legislation and attendance at webinars, seminars, and training sessions. Responsibilities include completing employee life cycle templates (new hire paperwork, job descriptions, recruitment tools, termination documentation, COBRA letters, etc.) and deploying into the community for onsite audits and workshops on Form I-9, Wage & Hour, FLSA, and employee files. The Senior HR Advisor develops and delivers training and materials on assigned programs, including leadership, management 101, and sexual harassment. They provide guidance to clients on performance, salary administration, succession planning, and management. Collaboration with sales business partners is expected to support the sales process and drive client base and revenue growth. Participation in professional development sessions, seminars, and networking events is also part of the role, along with performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of HR experience
  • 2+ years of relevant HR compliance experience
  • Knowledge of or exposure to HR concepts and employment/labor laws and regulations (i.e. FLSA, Title VII, FMLA)
  • Ability to travel locally 2-4 times a week
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with HR Information Systems

Responsibilities
