About The Position

A mid-sized marketing and print production company with more than 170 employees in the Cumberland/Smyrna area of metro Atlanta is seeking an in-person Senior Human Resources Generalist. This role is well suited for an experienced HR professional who can independently handle all HR matters across the full employee lifecycle. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide hands-on support across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training coordination, retention, payroll and benefits administration, compliance, and offboarding. This is a senior individual-contributor role that partners closely with employees, managers, and company leadership. Opportunities for advancement with demonstrated skills and abilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressively responsible HR experience, including at least 1 year in a comprehensive HR Generalist role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal employment laws.
  • Demonstrated experience independently handling employee relations and workplace issues with sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting and job boards such as Indeed and LinkedIn.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience administering ADP Workforce Now and BambooHR, including payroll and benefits workflows.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification and HR experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the company’s HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) and ATS (BambooHR), ensuring accurate and timely employee data.
  • Serve as the primary contact for benefit carriers, coordinate enrollment, and resolve day-to-day benefit questions and issues.
  • Complete Form I-9 and E-Verify processes accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation claims and required filings with the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Partner with production facility managers to support OSHA compliance and related documentation.
  • Lead day-to-day recruiting activities, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, offers, and hiring workflow.
  • Coordinate consistent, compliant onboarding and offboarding experiences for employees.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations; assess workplace concerns, document actions, and escalate complex or high-risk matters to appropriate leadership.
  • Review and maintain HR policies, documents, and handbook content in partnership with leadership, helping ensure alignment with company practices and applicable laws.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential personnel records in accordance with company policy and state and federal requirements.
  • Process semi-monthly payroll and benefits administration accurately while protecting confidential employee pay and benefit information.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, training, and culture initiatives that reinforce company ethics and values.
  • Stay current on HR systems, employment law developments, and HR best practices; recommend practical process improvements.
