About The Position

Milestone Business Solutions is seeking a full-time, remote Senior HR Generalist to work collaboratively with our internal team and small business clients. Milestone is a rapidly growing professional services firm that provides Outsourced Accounting and HR services to small and medium-sized businesses. We are a remote-first company headquartered in Indianapolis but have a national footprint. Our team members are talented, committed and fun-loving. Our culture is collegial and supportive, and we don’t believe in office politics.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience
A consulting mindset with excellent communication skills and a focus on customer service
In-depth knowledge of HR processes, best practices, and compliance
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the ability to keep digging until you find the answer
Experience working with multi-state companies/clients preferred.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred

Responsibilities

Onboarding and off-boarding team members
Maintaining employee files and process documentation
Revising and updating company handbooks
Working with leaders to develop workplace policies that align with the goals of the business
Providing guidance to employees and managers with questions and concerns
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state labor regulations
Managing employee leave, including FMLA
Assisting with benefits enrollment and inquiries
Coordinating performance reviews
Conducting workplace investigations, preparing reports as needed
Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises) and system updates
