About The Position

GDIT has an opportunity as a Senior HR Business Partner working on the Defense Sector Human Resources team. As an experienced HR Business Partner, you will align best practices and initiatives with the company’s strategic and operational goals supporting growing program of employees domestic and internationally.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI with POLY
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Eight (8+) years of human resources experience required
  • Current experience working in the government space
  • Work independently with limited supervision and high level of accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions to support program needs. Displays inclusive working practices. Brings people together across functional or organizational areas to achieve results as a team and solutions as needed.
  • Able to flex skills and experience to suit a wide variety of business needs
  • Able to navigate ambiguity, complexity and escalate concerns as needed
  • Plays an integral role in transformational changes. Adept at communicating the organization's vision and working through people to achieve results
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and fully execute key HR strategies and initiatives across large, complex DoD program
  • Review and analyze organization data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and engagement
  • Collaborates with leadership as a trusted partner to understand the organizational goals and strategy related to current workforce and growth of the program
  • Effective listener who can analyze the root cause or core problem to solve and bring appropriate solutions and resources
  • Ability to define priorities and focus on areas that add value. Able to focus on processes and actions necessary to achieve goals. Proven ability to organize people and activities.
  • Working knowledge and application of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development).
  • Partner with Employee Relations team on employee relations matters including support of investigations
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Management, Compensation, etc.) to achieve business results including retention strategies for retaining talent
  • May travel to company locations and client sites as required
  • Analysis of trends and metrics using dashboards and HR data to provide fact-based recommendations, reporting and analytics for management decision making based on organizational needs.
