Requirements

  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate documents that identify key issues, present evidence-based options, and make recommendations to inform strategic decision-making at senior management and Board level.
  • Proven time management and organisational skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities within complex procedural environments, and adapt flexibly to change.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team, represent Homes Tasmania with professionalism, build constructive relationships with government and external stakeholders, and resolve complex issues through effective communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support delivery-critical reform projects.
  • Coordinate major initiatives aligned with the priorities of the Homes Tasmania Board.
  • Provide advice to senior management, the Board, the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the Department of State Growth, and other government stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Homes Tasmania’s interface with government processes.
  • Prepare submissions for funding opportunities.
  • Inform State Growth’s work in leading strategic housing and homelessness policy.
