The Lead Host is considered the senior host who greets guests and ensures an impactful and memorable restaurant experience from start to finish. The Maître D reports to the Restaurant Manager. Greets guests as they arrive at the restaurant; gathers any pertinent information; delivers guests to the front of house team Oversees the seating of and menu presentation to all guests, ensuring high-quality service Supports the management team by providing training of all new hosts Takes reservations over the telephone, through emails, and in person; records all reservations properly in the system Manages and maximizes the reservation book Answers guests’ questions Creates and communicates daily floor plans Highlights problem areas with hosts or seating flow and develops solutions Demonstrates a positive, smiling, empowering, and motivational attitude Delegates effectively with a sense of professionalism Oversees the cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant entrance Ensures all supplies required to keep the front end of the restaurant running are always available Performs other duties as required or assigned
