About The Position

TalentFish is seeking a Senior Healthcare Project Manager for a full-time, remote, direct hire role with a premier clinical healthcare client. This position requires experience in IT project management, specifically supporting healthcare applications, Data and AI, Cardiology, Radiology, Imaging, and Epic Community Connect. The role involves mentoring less experienced project managers and driving strategic enterprise initiatives within complex hospital systems, particularly in areas like Data and AI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of hands-on project management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of formal project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging Lean process improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Outlook) and project management software.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or guiding junior project managers.
  • Experience working as an IT PM supporting healthcare applications, Data and AI, Cardiology, Radiology, Imaging, and Epic Community Connect.
  • Experience working in complex hospital systems in leading areas such as Data and AI.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma certification (required within one year of hire, if not already obtained).
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside normal business hours to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation through closure.
  • Define project scope, objectives, milestones, budgets, and success metrics with sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Establish and facilitate project governance to ensure leadership alignment and issue resolution.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop project plans, communication plans, schedules, and budgets using standard PM tools.
  • Estimate, plan, and manage project costs and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Identify project dependencies, critical paths, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively manage scope, schedule, and resource changes, escalating when necessary.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide clear, actionable status reporting.
  • Track and report project progress, risks, and next steps to senior leadership.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts or escalate appropriately.
  • Collaborate with organizational performance improvement teams.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members and contractors.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions and contribute to continuous improvement and PM best practices.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project management standards, tools, and processes.
