About The Position

Fortuna Health is redefining the consumer experience for Medicaid, helping millions navigate Medicaid end-to-end from eligibility and enrollment to renewing coverage. This role sits at the intersection of Go-To-Market (GTM) and Regulatory Strategy, with the goal of transforming regulatory shifts, compliance mandates, and public policy into revenue growth and operational expansion. The position operates as a hybrid between strategy consulting, policy analysis, and business development, driving proactive GTM strategies while resolving local policy and operational friction points in key markets.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in management consulting, startups, business development, strategy & operations, or public sector roles that involve technology
  • Demonstrated ability to translate regulatory or legislative text into commercial strategy
  • Excellent analytical skills - comfortable building models and reading legislative/regulatory text with equal fluency
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication - the idea of presenting to a room of senior healthcare or government leadership excites you, not intimidates you
  • Willingness to travel for in-market meetings with state administrators, health plans, and coalition partners
  • Ability to work 5 days per week in-person in NYC

Responsibilities

  • Consultative Sales: Work with the CEO to pitch decision-makers on how Fortuna's product solves upcoming or existing regulatory challenges.
  • Regulatory Lead Generation: Monitor state and federal legislation and regulatory changes to identify new commercial opportunities, target buyer personas, and geographic expansion priorities.
  • Collateral & Policy Positioning: Turn complex policy releases into pitch decks, memos, and ROI models for the growth team.
  • Coalition & Ecosystem BD: Educate states and counties about Fortuna's work and support model. Partner with policy organizations, industry associations, and regulatory working groups to build Fortuna's presence in Medicaid and government program policy circles.
