About The Position

Intetics Inc. is seeking a Senior/Lead Go Backend Engineer with Identity and Access Management (IAM) expertise to design, build, and operate secure, high-performance authentication services. The role focuses on high-throughput, low-latency identity systems, including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, session management, and federation. The engineer owns features from design through production and support, and helps shape the team’s technical roadmap and security posture. The position involves building primarily in Go, creating idiomatic, testable services and clear gRPC/HTTP API contracts. It also includes deploying and operating identity infrastructure, conducting identity-flow threat modeling and security reviews, integrating identity providers such as Keycloak and AWS Cognito, and advising other teams on secure platform integrations. The engineer mentors colleagues and participates in design reviews.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of backend engineering experience, including at least 5 years with Go.
  • 3–4+ years working in production environments with authentication, authorization, SSO, MFA, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and session management.
  • Strong production experience with Go and gRPC, including building complex distributed backend systems.
  • Deep knowledge of authentication and authorization, including OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC, JWT, token security, session management, and cryptography.
  • Strong understanding of web security, federated identity, secure coding, and the OWASP Top 10.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency systems with a focus on security and correctness.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain security and architecture trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAML, SCIM, PKI, JWKs/JWKS endpoints, key management (KMS/HSM), and token introspection.
  • Working knowledge of identity platforms, rate limiting, abuse mitigation, and adaptive authentication.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate high-throughput, low-latency identity services, including SSO, MFA, session management, and federation.
  • Own features end-to-end, from design through production and support.
  • Implement and scale authentication and authorization protocols and token formats, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWTs, with secure issuance, rotation, and revocation strategies.
  • Build clean, concurrent, high-performance backend services primarily in Go, with idiomatic, testable code and clear gRPC/HTTP API contracts.
  • Deploy, manage, and automate identity infrastructure using DevOps practices, including CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Serve as an authentication and identity subject matter expert; conduct internal security reviews and threat modeling for identity flows.
  • Guide other teams on secure integrations with the platform.
  • Integrate and maintain standard and custom identity providers, including Keycloak and AWS Cognito, and support federation patterns.
  • Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and contribute to the technical roadmap and security posture.
