About The Position

FASHIONPHILE is hiring an Authentication Specialist to evaluate and authenticate pre-owned luxury handbags and accessories from brands including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, and Hermès. The role is fully on-site at the Chelsea, NY Flagship location. The regular schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Candidates must be flexible to work holidays and some weekends based on business needs; overtime may also be required.

The specialist will receive training through Fashionphile University and must attend all Authentication training and become certified on all brands carried by the company. The role also involves researching authenticity indicators and designer trends, documenting findings, contributing to authentication guides and documentation, and participating in group information sessions.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with luxury handbag brands is a strong plus.
• Experience with customer service communication via email is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough authentication assessments on high-end luxury handbags and accessories.
• Perform online research to identify facts and patterns related to authenticity and stay current with designer trends.
• Document and maintain accurate records of authentication findings.
• Create or assist in creating written and pictorial guides and documentation regarding brand authentication.
• Participate in group information sessions on special topics in authentication.
• Attend all Fashionphile University Authentication training and become certified on all brands the company carries.
