About The Position

The Senior Global Force Management Planner supports the Army National Guard (ARNG) by maintaining visibility into unit readiness and applying Department of Defense readiness policy and regulations. The role includes maintaining accurate information in the Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) Synchronization Toolset (AST), including training events, exercises, sourcing notifications, and scheduled deployments. The planner performs technical assessments and evaluations of ARNG unit resourcing through the force generation cycle; reviews contingency plans for potential ARNG requirements; and assesses ARNG force structure and force generation cycles. The position develops readiness plans and provides recommendations on unit readiness cycles, while supporting the ARNG training division in planning, developing, and executing strategies, programs, and resources for individual, collective, and pre-mobilization training. This work supports readiness for the Army National Guard’s Federal and State missions. The role uses information technology to record, track, coordinate, manage, retrieve, and share data and related information. It analyzes Army Regulations, the Army Campaign Plan, the ARNG force generation model, and similar documents to assess effects on ARNG G3 operational readiness.
