Senior Global Events Manager

NexthinkBoston, MA
Hybrid

About The Position

Nexthink is seeking a Senior Global Events Manager to join their agile and high-performing Global Events team. This role involves end-to-end ownership of global third-party sponsorships, the company's flagship industry conference, Sales Kickoff, and President's Club. The position is designed for an individual who thrives on owning programs, managing budgets, and making decisions independently. The ideal candidate will be energized by creating impactful attendee experiences, solving problems proactively, and taking full ownership of event strategy, negotiation, execution, and measurement. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to manage vendors and internal stakeholders effectively.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to take a program and run it independently, making sound decisions with incomplete information under time pressure.
  • Ability to work closely with C-suite leaders, managing expectations and providing on-site support.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, building relationships and gaining alignment without heavy process.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • 5–8+ years in B2B events, ideally spanning both third-party sponsorships and owned/flagship events.
  • Experience managing events on-site and resolving issues.
  • Ability to travel 30–40%, including internationally.
  • Warm, credible, and easy to work with, managing vendors firmly and executives calmly.

Nice To Haves

  • Creative instinct for experience design, not just flawless logistics.
  • Experience at a company scaling its flagship event, or building an events program from a lean team.
  • Comfort with budgets in the six figures and above, and with negotiating sponsorship packages.
  • B2B tech or SaaS background; enterprise audience experience.
  • Fluency with project management tools, Salesforce/marketing automation, and event platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of global third-party sponsorships and exhibit programs end to end — strategy, negotiation, build, execution, and post-event measurement.
  • Serve as a go-to partner for internal events and programs.
  • Make day-to-day decisions on program scope, tradeoffs, vendor selection, and budget management.
  • Shape the attendee experience, including booth concept, activations, content moments, and hospitality.
  • Partner with Brand, Product Marketing, creative services, and key internal stakeholders to ensure event experiences align with brand messaging.
  • Take a defined leadership workstream on the flagship industry conference, partnering with a cross-functional team.
  • Build, forecast, manage, and report on program-level budgets.
  • Own vendor relationships, including negotiation, performance management, and ensuring adherence to scope.
