Senior Global Events Manager

NexthinkBoston, MA
$85,000 - $141,000Hybrid

About The Position

Nexthink is seeking a Senior Global Events Manager to join their agile, intentional, and high-performing Global Events team. This role involves running global third-party sponsorships, a flagship industry conference, Sales Kickoff, and President's Club. The position offers genuine ownership, allowing the individual to shape programs, manage budgets, and make decisions. The ideal candidate is energized by end-to-end program ownership, focuses on attendee experience, and is adept at problem-solving under pressure.

Requirements

  • Takes ownership of programs and drives them forward without waiting for assigned next steps, and provides recommendations when escalating issues.
  • Identifies gaps proactively and makes sound decisions with incomplete information under time pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with C-suite leaders, including setting and managing expectations, clear communication, and on-site support.
  • Proficient in cross-functional collaboration, building working relationships, gaining alignment without heavy process, and keeping partners informed.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities; understands the role will evolve.
  • 5–8+ years in B2B events, ideally with experience in both third-party sponsorships and owned/flagship events, including on-site problem resolution.
  • Warm, credible, and easy to work with; capable of managing vendors firmly and executives calmly.
  • Genuinely excited and able to travel 30–40%, including internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Creative instinct for experience design, beyond just flawless logistics.
  • Experience at a company scaling its flagship event or building an events program from a lean team.
  • Comfort with budgets in the six figures and above, and negotiating sponsorship packages.
  • B2B tech or SaaS background; experience with enterprise audiences.
  • Fluency with project management tools, Salesforce/marketing automation for lead flow, and event platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of global third-party sponsorships and exhibit programs end to end — strategy, negotiation, build, execution, and post-event measurement.
  • Serve as a go-to partner for internal events and programs.
  • Make the day-to-day calls on programs: scope, tradeoffs, vendor selection, spend within budget, on-site changes. Escalate what's genuinely material, and decide the rest.
  • Shape the attendee experience: booth concept, activations, content moments, hospitality.
  • Bring new ideas and challenge existing event formats when they are no longer effective.
  • Partner with Brand, Product Marketing, creative services, and key internal stakeholders to ensure the experience aligns with the brand story.
  • Take a defined leadership workstream on the flagship industry conference, partnering closely with a cross-functional team.
  • Own program-level budgets: build, forecast, manage, and flag risks early.
  • Own vendor relationships: negotiate, hold partners to scope, and manage performance.
