We are responsible for growing Alberta’s environmentally responsible wood products and forestry sector, protecting our forests from wildfire, and preserving our provincial parks for the recreation and enjoyment of Albertans. We enable access to public lands for both recreational and commercial purposes while prioritizing conservation, and we manage these lands by balancing sustainable rangelands and grazing leases that support Alberta producers. Alberta’s forests, parks, and public lands are essential to the quality of life that Albertans enjoy, providing natural landscapes, wildlife habitat, and diverse opportunities to connect with nature.
