Senior Geotechnical Engineer
About The Position
Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company is a professional geotechnical and environmental sciences consulting firm providing services in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, geophysics, hydrogeology, soil and materials testing, special inspection, soil and groundwater contamination assessment, site remediation, hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety. This role involves managing geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, interacting directly with clients, and managing project budgets. The position also includes coordinating and participating in field activities such as logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores, evaluating geologic and seismic hazards, and performing forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes. Engineering analyses such as foundation design and evaluation, slope stability analysis, and settlement analysis are also key responsibilities. The role requires preparing geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports, and providing technical support and mentorship to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians.
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting
- Detail-oriented, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with local engineering practices and Austin-area projects preferred
