Senior Geotechnical Engineer
About The Position
Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an opening for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will investigate residential and commercial sites to determine the cause and origin of geotechnical failures, damages, or defects. They will also conduct and manage forensic geotechnical evaluations, and direct, review, and oversee small to large private and public geotechnical projects. This role involves mentoring and training junior staff, providing leadership, and maintaining strong client relationships. Additionally, the Senior Geotechnical Engineer will assist with marketing and business development efforts, provide ongoing technical training to engineering staff, review and provide direction on engineering work products, and prepare, review, and sign geotechnical proposals and reports.
Requirements
- PE license required
- M.S. in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis required
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas
- 10+ years of geotechnical consulting experience
- Strong and well-rounded geotechnical engineering background
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and positive attitude
- Proven track record of successful client relationships and service
