Capgemini is hiring an experienced software development professional to design and build production-grade conversational and Agentic AI applications. The role involves hands-on development with Python, APIs, JSON, Gemini, Vertex AI, Google ADK, and relevant agent frameworks, as well as building and troubleshooting CES/GECX integrations and modernization scenarios. The engineer will implement agent tools and workflows, state and context management, orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), enterprise grounding, security, deployment, evaluation, observability, guardrails, and regression testing. The position also develops full-stack components, integrates agents with enterprise systems, and diagnoses production issues across agent logic, prompts, retrieval, tools, APIs, infrastructure, and distributed services. The role works directly with customer engineering teams to reproduce issues, debug implementations, and resolve technical blockers, while rapidly prototyping solutions and advancing validated prototypes toward production readiness. This is a hybrid role based across Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, and New Jersey. The listed base compensation range is $117,930–$223,591. Additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions may apply depending on the position and applicable laws. Capgemini offers a benefits package to regular full-time employees; available benefits depend on local policy and eligibility.
