About The Position

Pinnacle Solutions is seeking a passionate and motivated Game Developer to join its virtual development team. The role contributes to the creation of serious games and offers the opportunity to apply academic and professional experience. The developer will use Unity and/or Unreal game engines and learn custom frameworks and toolsets while taking ownership and helping enhance the capabilities of the engineering team. The position is contingent upon contract award and funding; selected applicants may receive an offer but cannot begin work until funding is confirmed. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience, and 5+ years of experience.
Knowledge of 2D/3D game mechanics.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as C# or C++.
Adeptness with Unity and/or Unreal Engine.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team and take constructive feedback.
Strong communication skills.
Experience with version control systems such as Git, Perforce, or SubVersion.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance may be required; clearance requirements are established by the government contract.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Unreal Blueprint.
Basic knowledge of game physics or AI systems.
Familiarity with agile development workflows.
Experience in AR/VR development.
Experience with WebGL development.
Experience in the Lua programming language.
Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira and Bitbucket.
One or more shipped titles.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with game developers, artists, and software developers to implement gameplay features.
Follow development standards using proprietary development tools.
Debug and resolve bugs, performance issues, and gameplay inconsistencies.
Review other game developers’ work and provide constructive feedback in accordance with development standards.
Participate in regular development reviews and team meetings.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
