About The Position

SeatGeek is hiring a Senior Fullstack Engineer for its FanX AI team. The role focuses on building AI-powered features for SeatGeek.com, working with design and product partners to create fan-focused experiences, mentoring web engineers, and advancing the organization’s frontend technology strategy and stack with a focus on generative AI. The position may involve full-stack work in Python as needed. SeatGeek’s stated technologies include TypeScript, Python, Next.js, React, AWS, Kubernetes, Fastly, Datadog, Mixpanel, and Eppo; prior experience with these specific tools is not required. The position offers a flexible work environment, including the option to work fully remotely or choose how many days to work in the office. The salary range is $144,000–$209,000 USD, and the role is equity eligible. A discretionary annual bonus may also be awarded based on individual and company performance. Compensation within the range depends on factors including skills, experience, certifications, and location.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience in frontend software engineering.
Recent experience leading product initiatives end to end.
Exceptional grasp of TypeScript or JavaScript, including familiarity with current language features.
Experience with at least one modern framework and client-side rendering technique.
Strong UI and product instincts, including attention to user needs and inclusive, accessible experiences.
Comfort working with architecture and performance optimization, including caching, distributed systems, monitoring, and testing.
Comfort working full stack in Python when needed.
Some experience with design tools such as Figma or Sketch, or willingness to learn them.

Nice To Haves

Experience building user-facing AI features.
Experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
Experience with Figma or Sketch.
Experience with SeatGeek’s listed stack: Python, AWS, Kubernetes, Fastly, Datadog, Mixpanel, or Eppo.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with SeatGeek’s design team and product managers to turn ideas into AI-powered features that delight fans.
Mentor and develop web engineers across the organization while contributing to AI feature development and tool use.
Contribute to the maturity of the frontend technology strategy and stack, with a focus on generative AI.
Work full stack in Python when needed to get work done.
Architect web applications for performance and maintainability, troubleshoot distributed systems and caching inefficiencies, and use monitoring and testing to evaluate changes.
