About The Position

Narvar is seeking Full Stack Software Engineers to build products powering the post-purchase experience for major retail brands. In this role, you will work on both APIs and UIs, impacting customer-facing products and utilizing modern technologies like Typescript, React, Go, Java, and GraphQL to deliver complex features. You will join the team responsible for Narvar Secure (package protection) and Narvar Assist (AI-driven claims and fraud detection). The role involves end-to-end ownership of live, consumer-facing claim experiences, from storefront integrations to a shared claim-decisioning platform. This is a fully remote position for candidates located in Canada, able to work within EST/EDT or PST hours.

Requirements

6+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, and high-quality systems.
AI-first development approach, treating AI (e.g., Claude) as a primary engineering surface.
Experience in building consumer-facing applications with a frontend framework (React preferred, Svelte, Angular, Vue, or Ember acceptable).
Experience building well-designed software with NodeJS or Golang.
Experience developing consumer-facing applications consuming various APIs from a microservice backend system.
Knowledge of full development lifecycle and computer science fundamentals.
Strong focus on code quality and code reviews.
Experience with mentoring other engineers.

Nice To Haves

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Previous startup experience strongly preferred with growth and product engineering mindset.

Responsibilities

Implement new product features and support/extend existing ones.
Build frontend platform components leveraged across internal, external products, and ecommerce storefronts (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce).
Translate product and design work (Figma) into robust, accessible, high-performance UI components.
Own frontend architecture decisions and uphold code-quality standards.
Mentor teammates through code review.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of backend services using Golang and Node.js.
Deploy code and infrastructure components on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using CI/CD.
Work with datastores like PostgreSQL, Cloud Spanner, BigQuery, and Bigtable.
Understand and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
