About The Position

Félix is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for its Product Engineering team to help build the technology behind its chat-driven financial platform. The role focuses on systems that process high volumes of transactions and deliver conversational experiences through chatbots and natural-language interfaces. The engineer will design and enhance chat services and web and mobile experiences for WhatsApp, the web, and the mobile application, helping users interact with remittance services seamlessly. The position spans backend architecture, frontend and conversational interfaces, cloud services, and infrastructure. The team is technology agnostic; experience with the listed technologies is helpful, while willingness to learn and adapt is valued. The role also involves collaboration with product, UX/UI, and business teams, as well as mentorship of junior developers.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to build, ship, and iterate on software applications with an emphasis on real-world impact.
Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
Experience with web services, including SOAP and REST APIs.
Familiarity with architectural patterns and practices such as Hexagonal Architecture, Event Driven Architecture, A/B Testing, Feature Flags, and Gradual Rollouts.
Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar technologies.
Passion for building products that positively impact millions.
Commitment to continuous learning and exploration of new technologies.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and contribute innovative ideas.
Excellent prioritization skills.
Fluent or advanced English.

Nice To Haves

Curiosity about or experience in Fintech; equivalent competencies will also be considered.
Familiarity with the listed technology stack: Python, Flask/FastAPI, REST APIs, Redis, SQL, gRPC, React, HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, React Native, Google Cloud services, Kubernetes, Terraform, NewRelic, and PagerDuty.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement high-performance, scalable backend microservices, including core components of the chat platform.
Build, deploy, and iterate on UI services and conversational interfaces for remittance services.
Design and manage infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests with real-time messaging.
Develop backend services using industry standards and Google Cloud services.
Mentor junior developers and implement best practices while collaborating with product, UX/UI, and business teams.
Use customer feedback and analytics to improve conversational experiences and chatbot effectiveness.
