About The Position

DevAltus is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, deploy, and operate secure, scalable web applications, APIs, and cloud-native systems for enterprise clients. The role covers the full software development lifecycle, from system architecture and implementation through deployment, operations, and performance optimization. The position emphasizes deep cloud engineering expertise, particularly with Microsoft Azure; candidates with substantial Azure or AWS experience and comparable technical depth will be considered. The engineer will develop Java and Spring Boot APIs and microservices, build front-end and back-end applications using technologies including React and Node.js, and create automated tests. The role includes designing distributed and event-driven architectures, containerizing and orchestrating applications, building CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code, and designing and optimizing relational and NoSQL databases. The engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and other engineers in an Agile environment, and participate in code reviews. This is W-2 employment with an advertised salary range of $150,000–$300,000 annually and benefits. Requirements

At least 8 years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong proficiency designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL services, including experience with Azure API Management.
Expertise in Docker and container orchestration, including Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Apps, and Azure Container Registry.
Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Service Bus, and Azure API Management.
Experience designing and developing scalable, highly available distributed systems and event-driven architectures using Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Event Grid, or Apache Kafka.
Strong programming skills in Java and Spring Boot, and JavaScript/TypeScript with React and Node.js.
Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Mocha, and React Testing Library.
Experience building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
Experience designing and optimizing relational and NoSQL databases, including Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure SQL Database, MySQL, and Azure Cosmos DB.
Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and observability using tools such as Terraform, Azure Bicep, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.
Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks, particularly React.
Experience designing and implementing microservices and serverless architectures using Java, Spring Boot, Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, and Azure API Management.
Knowledge of cloud security practices, including Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, managed identities, role-based access control, and application performance optimization.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum, sprint planning, iterative delivery, and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, architecture, and business teams.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Resident of the continental United States.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, integrating Azure services and external platforms through Azure API Management.
Build responsive, high-performance front-end and back-end applications using technologies including Java, Spring Boot, React, and Node.js.
Develop automated API, microservices, contract, service-virtualization, and UI tests.
Design and implement scalable cloud-native applications on Azure, following security, reliability, scalability, and performance best practices.
Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker, Azure Container Registry, Azure Container Apps, and Azure Kubernetes Service, including orchestration and automated scaling.
Design and develop distributed systems that support high availability, fault tolerance, resilience, and disaster recovery.
Implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka and Azure messaging and event services for real-time processing and asynchronous communication.
Design, develop, and maintain independently deployable Java and Spring Boot microservices using Azure-native infrastructure, service discovery, API gateways, and distributed observability.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests for front-end and back-end applications.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
Design, implement, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases for performance, scalability, availability, and data integrity.
Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, architects, and engineers to deliver products on schedule using Agile methodologies.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to support code quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues across distributed applications and cloud infrastructure.
